PHILIP MOREIRA TOMEI

Philip Tomei is Policy Lead at AI Objectives Institute and a Cognitive Infrastructures fellow at Antikythera. His work focuses on bridging technical developments in machine learning with social, economic and political realities. His recent research focuses on Human Data design for model advancement and alignment. Previously he worked on the EU AI Act negotiations and its technical standardisation efforts. He has published on the socioeconomic impacts of AI deployment and on AI as a tool for democratic innovation. His background is in Venture Capital and Cognitive Science.

RUPAL JAIN

Rupal Jain is a UNESCO Poland Research Fellow and PhD Candidate. She is currently the Carl Menger Doctoral Research Fellow at the Mercatus Research Center, George Mason University where she learns about the political economy and socioeconomic sensitivity of advanced AI. Prior to that, she was an engineer at Alphabet.
